Proxies!

Proxies are completely allowed as long as they follow the following rules.

Yes to:

-Any artwork as long as it is not disruptive, offensive, or intentionally misleading

-Errata text

-Original text

-Simplified text in some cases, ask the judge. For example, there are simplified Chains of Mephistopheles proxies.

-MPC proxies and similar services

-Printed proxies on thin office paper on top of Hasbro cards in sleeves

-Yes to fully or partially proxied decks. This is very rare, a true privilege.

No to:

-Black and white and hard-to-read proxies

-Sloppily hand-cut proxies in cardboard or ones that do not have the same stiffness as Magic cards.

-Distinguishable proxies

-Real counterfeits - i.e. illegal cards made to be mixed with official Magic the Gathering cards. We do not like back designs that use MtG's card back.

-Plastic sleeves that are not 100% opaque. Dragonshields art-sleeves are an example of non-light-transmitting sleeves.

-It should not be possible to distinguish proxies (or any other cards, for that matter) from the top when you place the deck with the openings of the sleeves facing up.

Deckchecks will happen!

Prizing

1st Place - Revised Wheel of fortune

2-4th Place - C19 Dockside extortionist

5-8 - Secret Lair Mystic Remora
